| Bonjour à tous Après un départ un peu tardif, j'ai rejoint la "Katy Trail" via la "M&KT Trail", une jonction de 9 miles depuis Columbia. C'est ma dernière journée sur cette piste que je vais quitter à Boonville (Missouri). Ensuite, ce sera le retour au macadam et à la circulation et il me faudra apporter plus de vigilance. | Une étonnante rencontre à Rocheport: en demandant la direction de l'épicerie à une dame (accompagnée de son fils sur la photo), cette dernière a trouvé que mon anglais n'avait pas trop l'accent du Missouri et lorsque que je lui est décliné mon identité, elle m'a dit en français qu'elle été née à Valence (Drôme) en 1945. Elle me raconta l'histoire de son père, réfugié Polonais lors de la guerre 39/45, qui avait rejoint le maquis du Vercors. Elle se souvenait de son nom codé, "biscuit". Je lui est dis que mon père avait été aussi maquisard dans le Vercors. Le monde est petit ou bien le hasard est grand! Elle m'a promis de m'envoyer le journal de son père relatant cette période. Cette famille a immigrée au États Unis après la guerre. | Boonville (Missouri) approche, adieu la "Katy Trail" et bienvenue à la "Lewis & Clark Trail" et une route toute en ondulations jusqu'à Arrow Rock. Etape à Arrow Rock State Park, super camping, je vous le conseille, c'est un bon plan pour venir passer un week end. Je voulais acheter deux œufs au gérant du camping. Il est revenu avec 8 œufs, du pain, des cacahuètes, 2 bouteilles d'eau fraîche et n'a pas voulu de mon argent. Je me pose la question: ai je maigri à ce point là au point de faire pitié pour que tout le monde veuille me nourrir? Mais j'apprécie tout de même cette générosité.
