Objectif: 10400 kilomètres en deux étapes.
La première étape, en juin 2012 qui consistera en un premier
voyage initiatique et expérimental en Irlande,
de Voiron à Rossnowlagh. (The first stage, in June 2012: the test and initiation in Ireland, from Voiron to Rossnowlagh.)
1ère étape - Juin 2012 (First stage - June 2012) : Voiron - Rossnowlagh - 2422 kilomètres
Un premier voyage comme préambule au projet de 2013,
en partant retrouver la terre et la maison d’origine de l’aïeul partit pour les Etats-Unis. (This first trip is a preamble to the 2013 trip, cycling to the great-grandfather’s family home when h left for the United States.)
La seconde étape, en juin 2013, la plus importante,
la traversée des Etats Unis d’est en ouest,
de New-York à Astoria. (The second stage, in June 2013, the longest, crossing the U.S. from east to west, New York to Astoria, Oregon. )
2ème étape - Mai 2013 (Second stage - May 2013) : Voiron - Astoria - 8068 kilomètres
Un départ fixé au printemps de l’année 2013 afin d’avoir eu le temps de peaufiner le voyage suite aux constatations faites lors de la première étape. Mais aussi pour pouvoir passé la chaine des Rocheuses au mois d’août, franchissant des cols à plus de 3000 mètres, et limiter la rencontre de la neige. (The departure is set for the spring of 2013 to have the time to refine the trip following the experience of the first stage. But also to cross the Rockies in August, over passes over 3000 meters, and limit the encounters with snow.)
Ce voyage en deux étapes décalé dans le temps me permettra de tester, d’affiner et de corriger mon matériel et ma logistique. (This trip in two stages will allow me to test, refine and correct my equipment and logistics.)
