Bonjour à tous

Arrivée hier soir à New York sous la pluie. J'ai rejoint la famille d'accueil à Brooklyn avec laquelle j'ai eu un très bon contact. J'ai pu échanger sur plein de details sur ma traversée des US. Ils ont  l'expérience d'une traversée entre la Californie et la Floride, ce qui m'a permis de remettre ma tête en ordre!!!

Arrival last night in New York with the rain. I met up with the host family in Brooklyn, very friendly and welcoming. We spent the evening talking about the details of my cross-continental trip, and they shared information on their past crossing from California to Florida, which allowed me to get my head back in order!!!

Vu la météo et une forte envie de remonter sur mon vélo, la décision est prise de partir lundi matin. J'ai donc effectué 5km entre Brooklyn et Manathan à 6h00 du matin pour prendre le 1er ferry pour Belford New Jersey.

Given the weather and a strong desire to get back on my bike, I decided to leave Monday morning. I rode 5 km between Brooklyn and Manhattan at 6 in the morning to take the first ferry for Belford, New Jersey.		 20130520_064415_opt

Ce soir, je fais étape au nord-est de Philadelphie chez Léonard chez qui j'ai trouvé un accueil des plus que chaleureux, dans un petit havre de paix avec des oies sauvages du Canada qui ont oublié de migrer et des castors dans la rivière.

Tonight I’m staying just northeast of Philadelphia at Leonard’s house, where I found a very warm welcome in a little peaceful corner with wild Canadian geese that seem to have forgotten to migrate south and beavers in the river.
